Delivery Policy
Goods, if they are in-stock, will normally be despatched within 24 hours from receipt and clearance of full payment. SDi will attempt to contact the customer if the items ordered are out of stock in order to advise when the customer might expect them.
Delivery charges depend upon the quantity and type of items ordered. For a UK next day service using for example TNT Couriers, the delivery charge is £17.50 for an item weighing not more than 14 Kg, of size 81 x 26 x 26cm, this being the approximate size and weight of a 4.5 Kg Clegg Impact Soil Tester. Upon receipt of the item at the customer’s address the customer should not sign the courier’s acceptance receipt form unless the customer has opened the package, inspected the items and deemed that they are in a fit and proper state.
No liability is accepted for breakage or fracture of legacy Guide Tube(s) during transportation.
If the package is visibly damaged or if it is suspected of having been damaged the customer should either refuse to accept delivery or the courier delivery person should be asked to thoroughly check the contents in the presence of the customer. Signing for the package as “unchecked” (or some such similar wording) is not satisfactory. If the delivery person refuses to wait whilst the package is opened and inspected or if there is any doubt in relation to the integrity of the package the customer should refuse to accept delivery.
If the customer fails to follow these instructions and a package is signed for as received in good condition and subsequently it is found the goods are damaged it will not be possible to offer compensation.
For smaller items that can be placed into padded bags, such as but not limited to a connecting cable, check ring, clips and fasteners the postage charge will be £8.50.
If we are not informed that goods collected on behalf of us by TNT couriers are not delivered to the destination within a period of 5 days from date of collection no insurance claim can be made for compensation.

Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policies
You may not cancel orders once accepted by SDi. SDi may, at its discretion and in writing, allow an order to be cancelled subject to SDi recovering from the customer the costs incurred by SDi. In the event of cancellation of part of any order only, SDi may invoice the customer any difference in selling price per unit applicable to the quantity actually despatched up to the time of cancellation compared to the quantity ordered.
The customer may only return products to SDi, and receive a credit or refund, on the following conditions:
- The customer must contact SDi prior to the return of any products and obtain the prior consent of SDi and obtain a returns number (to be quoted on all returned paperwork).

Return must be made within 30 days of the date of delivery (as stated on the delivery documentation). Products must be returned to SDi in their original condition and packaging and in a condition which will enable them to be immediately fit for re-sale. Products must be returned to SDi adequately packed and despatched freight prepaid, clearly labelled to: CUSTOMER RETURNS DEPARTMENT, SD Instrumentation Ltd, Top Farm, Tellisford, Bath BA2 7RL England.

The customer must quote the invoice details or the SDi job number from the original pack note.

For products returned due to customer error, customer cancellation or no longer required and returned in accordance with 1 - 2 above a handling charge will be applied. This handling charge is 20% of the invoice value. The handling charge for returns which are not made in accordance with SDi’s returns policy will be the actual cost of reprocessing (subject to a minimum 20% of the invoice value).

Where the customer returns products to SDi not in accordance with 1 - 2 above (for example, after 30-days from the date of despatch or in an unfit state) SDi will refuse delivery and return the products at the customer's expense or may apply a handling charge which relates to the actual cost of reprocessing.

SDi accepts no responsibility for any loss of or damage to products in transit from customer to SDi or for any items received by SDi with them.
